Why is it that people at the till think that nobody can hear them. What follows is conversations that I over hear daily while trying to wait on people.

Woman on Phone: ...a designer bear?...a designer BEAR?....What's a designer bear?....oh, no....oh, no...what did you say to her?...OH NO!....Does she want one?
